Frequently Asked Questions

Can I do the challenge whilst working in the office?

Yes you can. As long as they have a fridge to store your food you will be fine. Buy some tupperware to take your meals to the office.

What is the 5-Day Challenge all about? What will I need to give up?

The goal of the challenge is to complete 5 days eating healthy wholefoods (foods that are natural, full of nutrients and unprocessed) whilst eliminating foods that are known to irritate the gut, including; sugar, dairy, gluten, and processed foods such as breads, pasta, cakes.

By eliminating certain foods for 5 days, you’ll then reintroduce the foods back into your diet to see how your body responds i.e. if you feel bloated, low energy. The challenge is going to help you identify foods that give you energy or drain your energy, foods that make you feel light or bloated. You’re doing this because you want to look and feel your best, right?

The challenge is flexible. If you cannot give up a certain food i.e. for health reasons, that is ok, you can incorporate it into the challenge. If you are only able to complete 80% of the challenge i.e. because of work commitments, that is also OK.

Just by investing in yourself and participating in the challenge, you are already doing something amazing for your health. The challenge is going to help you create new healthy habits, get motivated, and create structure in your life.

How can I best prepare for the challenge?

Once you sign up, you will receive an email with all the information to prepare for the challenge, including your 5 day meal plan, shopping list, and recipe ebook.

I would recommend using the weekend to go food shopping and to batch make food for day 1 so that you’re all ready to go.

You will receive daily email support over 5 days with tips to succeed the challenge as well as a daily training video to improve your knowledge around diet, nutrition, and health boosting practices. The daily emails will help you overcome any hurdles along the way.

What kitchen equipment do I need to complete the challenge?

I recommend that you have the following:

Sharp knife

Chopping board
Blender (smoothies + soups)

Optional:

Food processor i.e. cauliflower rice
Juicer

Is the challenge restrictive, will I get hungry?

The challenge is not restrictive. You are not weighing your food or counting calories. The challenge is focused around healthy nutritious whole foods. If you feel hungry, I want you to eat more. If you feel hungry, you can add some extra protein or healthy fats into your meal i.e. lentils, beans, fish, or add a side dish such as an extra veggie serving.

If I don’t like smoothies or a certain food, can I swap it for something else?

Yes you can. You will receive a recipe book that gives you other meal options to choose from. If there is a particular food you really don’t like, swap it for something else or leave it out. However, this challenge is about you experimenting with new foods!

You can substitute foods for alternatives i.e. if you don’t like bananas, add in another fruit that you enjoy or extra berries. If you don’t like avocado, substitute for coconut yoghurt or chia seeds. This gives you an idea of the flexibility of the challenge!
